Family History in Kirkby in Ashfield

Have you always wanted to have a go at tracing your ancestors and finding out more about your family history? A new short course planned to run at Kirkby-in-Ashfield Library in the autumn could help you to learn how to use the internet and archives to find out about your ancestors lives.

Using census records, birth, marriage and death certificates, parish records, wills, military records, and more - experienced WEA tutor Gill Groom can help you to discover the details of how your ancestors lived.

Sessions: 2 hours a week for 10 weeks
Time: 9.30am-11.30am

Fees: £50 (Anyone in receipt of a means tested benefit will not have to pay fees – evidence of benefit will be required).

  1. Thanks for arranging this Lindsey – this is set to be a great course. I will start ringing the people who expressed an interest in attending the course to let them have the confirmed start date.
